After being bitten and failed the appropriate Constitution check, the character has been inflicted with a slightly debilitating disease. 

It is easily cured with a Cure Disease spell, but until then they are weaker than normal and have the following modifications to their character:

• -2 Dexterity
• -1 Charisma
