Coup De Grâce Image

Your mastery in battle allows you to time your strikes for lethal blows.

Once during your turn, when you attack a damaged creature with a melee attack, you may attempt a coup de grâce in lieu of a normal melee attack. You may do this a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier. Uses are regained after a long rest.

Your coup de grâce attack is a critical hit on a roll of a natural 19-20. After the attack's damage has been assigned to the target, roll dice according to your character level per the list below. Add the rolled value to your character level.  Tell the DM the sum and ask them to compare it to the target's remaining health.

If the target’s remaining hit points are less than the sum, then the target dies from your mortal blow. Otherwise, there is no effect beyond the normal damage from the attack. When you attempt a coup de grâce, all attacks against you are at advantage until the beginning of your next turn.
