Having faced numerous hardships and battles, you have learned to take advantage of your opponent's openings and retaliate with equal ferocity. You have developed an uncanny ability to respond to attacks with swift vengeance.
When you select this feat, you gain the following benefits:
Retaliatory Strike: When a creature hits you with a melee attack, you can use your reaction to make a melee weapon attack against that creature, so long as it is within your reach. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain all expended uses after a long rest.
Vengeful Focus: When you take damage from a creature that is within 5 feet of you, you have advantage on your next attack roll against that creature, as long as you make the attack before the end of your next turn.
Improved Counterattack: At 10th level, your ability to retaliate improves. When you use your Retaliatory Strike, you can now make two melee weapon attacks instead of one. Additionally, once per short or long rest, you can add your proficiency bonus to the damage of one of your Retaliatory Strikes.
