CLOUD-9 Scientist

Through your innate knowledge of medicine and the brain, you are now capable of producing a drug named CLOUD-9 and developing it more as more time passes.

• During a short rest, you can choose to create a number of CLOUD-9 drugs equal to your proficiency modifier. These can either be in vial form to be drank, tablet form to be swallowed or syringe form to be injected at your preference.
• When a creature ingests CLOUD-9, their brain is fundamentally rewritten for a time to only allow for extreme happiness, eliminating the capability to feel other emotions. Strong displays of emotion, such as wailing and screaming, are instead replaced by bouts of uncontrollable laughter. However, tears are unaffected by the drug. Whilst under the effects of CLOUD-9, the target gains advantage on Wisdom saving throws for the duration of the effects but also has disadvantage to Charisma saving throws. At the start of the afflicted’s turn, or once every hour outside of combat, they can make a DC 19 wisdom saving throw to end the effect early. CLOUD-9’s effects last 24 hours before wearing off.
• At level 11, you can instead forgo creating normal CLOUD-9 during a short rest and instead create a single, more potent drug still following the three forms above. When ingested, this form of CLOUD-9 is instead permanent, and can only be undone through use of Greater Restoration or a Wish spell.
