A strange form of ancient magic that is both complementary and opposite to the more common forms of magic (i.e. life energy, Ki, and the magic from sorcerers and wizards). Kan in its natural state will annihilate these forms of magic upon contact, but can be used to direct these forms of magic with great efficiency and accuracy.
The origin of this magic is unknown, but it was used by the fallen empire to construct their greatest creations known to the modern world.
