Prerequisite: Must be cursed by Garyx

Cursed

Through one way or another, you came in contact with the dangerous arcane tradition of the Frenzied Flame. Garyx, the Draconic God of Fire and Destruction has infiltrated your mind and seeks to sow the seeds of Chaos through you. Perhaps you were born with the cursed already embedded into you, or you could have come across it while handling an artifact, or perhaps you were chosen by it through your constant practice of Fire magic. You are beckoned by the Frenzied Flame to practice your Fire magic further, but your continued usage of it may lead to some catastrophic results. A greater restoration spell could be used to undo the curse, though the cursed creature will be unlikely to wish to remove the curse due to its charming hold on the target's mind.

Garyx' Blessing

You learn the Fire Bolt cantrip. It must replace one of your available cantrip slots.

You have resistance against Fire damage. If you damage yourself with Fire damage through Madness, you take Psychic damage instead of Fire damage.

When you level up, you can choose to learn a spell that deals fire damage from any spell list, regardless of your class, as long as you have a spell slot of the same level available for it, and as long as the spell doesn't have a material cost. This spell is always prepared and doesn't count against your total number of prepared spells. Your ability score modifier for this spell is the same as your other spells.

Madness

When you cast a spell using this feature, your mind twists and turns, causing you to lose your grip on reality. Roll a Charisma saving throw. The DC for this throw is 10 + the spell's level. If you succeed the throw, you use the spell as you intended. If you fail the saving throw, you become charmed by the frenzied flame, and chaos preoccupies you mind. Roll a d6. Based on the outcome of the die, you target a different creature than the one you intended. If you roll a 1, you target yourself. If you roll a 2, you target the closest creature to you. If you roll a 3, you target the second closest creature to you (and so on and so forth). The charm ends at the start of your next turn, no roll required. if a creature provokes an opportunity attack from you while you are charmed, you target them with Fire Bolt, regardless if it is friend or foe. While you are charmed in this way, you are immune to fire damage from sources other than yourself.
If you use a spell more than a single time in this fashion before your complete a short rest, you have disadvantage on the saving throw.

Agonizing Resilience

If you fail the saving throw for the Madness check, you may choose to resist the madness at the cost of immense pain. If you choose to do so, you automatically succeed the saving throw and take 5 + The spell's level + your PB in Psychic damage. After using this feature once, the next time you use it before completing a short rest the damage doubles.

Creeping Flame

Your aptitude for flames does not come without cost. Whenever you cast a Fire spell that is on your spell list, Roll a d20. If you roll a 1 on the die, you must throw the Madness saving throw and act accordingly.
