When you get this feat, you sacrifice a spell slot of the highest level. Then choose a spell from your spell list of one level higher than you sacrificed. This spell can also be an upcasted spell of any lower levels. You can cast this spell ones without expending a spell slot ones per day. You regain this ability after you finish a long rest.
When you get higher level spells you may choose to change the sacrificed spell slot and pick a new spell in place of the one you picked before. If you multiclass choose one of you classes with spellcasting and sacrifice its’ highest spell slot. For example, a wizard 3, paladin 5 can choose wizard, loose 1 second level spell slot and gain one third level spell from wizard spell list. If you have access to 9th level spell you can lose 1 8th level spell and gain one 9th level spell.
