Heroism (GE)

Gain a +1 to Dexterity or Constitution

As a reaction on your turn, when another creature suffers at least 18 damage, as the result of a rolled  attack and you are within 5 feet of that creature, roll a d20 + Dexterity, if you roll lower than the target of the attack AC you may suffer the full damage in their stead, placing yourself between the ally and the source. This damage may not be reduced or negated in any way, and the triggering attack must only target one creature. You may also choose to be reckless in the pursuit of defending a person and forgo the prior mentioned roll and put yourself in the path of the attack, this causes you to take an additional d8 damage, but you may only do this a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier per long rest.
