Prerequisite: Charisma 13 or higher
Your mastery of offensive remarks makes some of your most brutal or witty insults cause physical damage to the recipient, giving you the following benefits:
- Increase your Charisma score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
- You gain a pool of burn points equal to your CHA modifier. As a bonus action you may choose to spend one of your burn points to attempt a deadly burn on one creature who can both hear and understand you.
- When you attempt a deadly burn, you roll a performance check and your target rolls a wisdom save. If the result of your performance check is greater than or equal to the result of your opponents wisdom save, the deadly burn is successful.
- A successful deadly burn deals fire damage equal to 1d4 + your charisma score, ignoring any resistances or immunities the target may possess. This damage increases by 1d4 fire at 4th, 8th, 12th, 16th, and 20th level.
- If you come up with an especially brutal or witty insult, the DM may allow you to make a deadly burn without expending a burn point.
- You regain your expended burn points when you finish a long rest.
