Prerequisite: Eladrin

You have been corrupted by a dark alien power from the Far Realm. Your mind has been warped with forbidden knowledge, and by using two uses of your Fey Step, you can enter another creature's mind. You gain the following benefits:

  • You learn to speak, read, and write Deep Speech.
  • When you use your Fey Step, you can touch one creature within 5 feet of you. That creature must succeed on an Intelligence saving throw. On a failed save, you teleport your body into its mind. A creature can willingly fail this saving throw. While in the creature's mind, you have full cover and can not be targeted by attacks. The creature can make a Wisdom saving throw at the end of their turn to force you out of their mind. When you leave a creature's mind, you appear in an unoccupied space of your choice within 10 feet. Otherwise, you remain inside its mind until you take one of the following actions on your turn:
    • As an action, you can force the creature to use its reaction to make an attack roll against a creature of your choice.
    • As an action, you can cast detect thoughts targeting the creature whose mind you are in. The creature has disadvantage on their saving throw.
    • As an action, you can analyze the creature and learn if it has one of the following: damage vulnerabilities, damage resistances, damage immunities, or condition immunities.
  • When you use your Fey Step in this way, there is a 10 percent chance that the darker parts of the creature's mind linger with you. When this happens, make a DC 20 Charisma saving throw (or a Sanity saving throw if using the variant rule in the Dungeon Master's Guide). On a failure, you gain one of the creature's flaws. This can be undone with greater restoration or similar magic.
