Lycanthropy (Curse) Image
Prerequisite: Must have been bitten by a Lycan or inherited the curse through a bloodline

Your blood boils with the curse of Lycanthropy, because of this you gain the following changes.

  • You gain immunity to slashing, bludgeoning and piercing from non magical weapons that are not silvered.
  • rations no longer prevent you from gaining a point of exhaustion during a long rest. Instead you must consume a medium sized creature or larger to avoid exhaustion a day.
  • once a day you can spend an Action to Transform into your were form based off what gave you the curse.

When you use an action to Transform use the stat block of the creature that gave you the curse (werewolf, werebear, wereboar, wererat, ect.)with these modifications:

  • Hit points remain the same as your original, any health you lose or gain in this form also affects your original
  • exhaustion and other status effects do not carry over while you are transformed and resume after the transformation is done
  • You may see other lycanthropes affected by the same curse as allies.
  • You lose full control of your character with the DM determining the hybrids actions based off the form's alignment and their desire to hunt.
  • The Transformation lasts until you consume a medium creature or bigger (10 minutes).
  • At the end of each of your turns you can choose to end the transformation early. Doing so will give you a point of exhaustion. you cannot end it early this way if you have more than 2 points of exhaustion.

In addition any armor or items you are wearing or holding fall to the ground during your transformation. The armor and or items can be damaged during the transformation at the DM's Discretion.

On a full moon, or on a night while having 3 or more points of exhaustion the cursed creature experiences a Bloodthirsty Transformation. A Bloodthirsty Transformation lasts for the whole duration of the night until dawn regardless if it feeds. You still return to your true form when you reach 0 hit points but there is no other way to end a Bloodthirsty Transformation earlier. As long as you consume at least one Medium or larger sized creature during a Bloodthirsty Transformation you can benefit from the effects of a long rest losing one point of exhaustion. Failure to consume a medium sized creature or larger during a Bloodthirsty transformation makes the creature gain another point of exhaustion as if it never rested.

If a cursed creature reaches 5 or more points of exhaustion it becomes Feral. While Feral the creature can no longer be tamed and will act spiritic and aggressive. It's intelligence score is reduced to 4 and it loses all languages it has known. It no longer returns to it's original form and no longer sees anyone as an ally completely consumed by it's own madness. the only way to break a Feral creature from its madness is to have the curse removed, however the intelligence and languages lost by being Feral do not return and will have to be retaught.

Upon receiving the curse the creature has 1d4 days to attempt to remove this curse with remove curse spell after which the effects above take place and are permanent. Otherwise the curse can only be removed by having an ancient druid perform a ritual with 1,000 gold's worth of materials under a full moon. or by means of Greater Restoration or a wish spell.
