Hazy visions plague your dreams and waking hours. Visions of the past, the present and of many possible futures. These visions can give you knowledge of things, creatures and places or give warning for events yet to unfold.
- Once per long rest, you have a flash vision and are able to either; add 1d4 to any attack roll, saving throw or skill check, or alternatively, you can as a reaction add 1d4 to your AC until your next turn.
- Additionally, once per week you are able focus your clairvoyant powers to cast one of the following spells as per the spell description:
- Clairvoyance PHB 222. Level 3 spell.
- Scrying PHB 273. Level 5 spell.
Casting a spell in this way causes the exhaustion effect at a level equal to the spells level minus your highest spell slot level +1. Exhaustion levels from this ability lasts until you complete a long rest, or are cured of the effect by any other normal means.
For example, you are a level 1 wizard with highest spell slot of level 1 spells. You cast the scrying spell
using this ability, which is level 5. Your maximum spell level (1) plus 1 is 2, the spell level (of scrying) is 5,
5 minus 2 is 3, meaning you have 3 levels of exhaustion until you complete a long rest. Whereas, a caster with level 5 spell slots suffers no exhaustion.
- You may also receive cryptic dreams or visions that may or may not be relevant to your future.
