You helped a Fey creature at some point, gaining a strong connection and granted boons from that connection.
You can cast Find Familiar as a Ritual without components to summon that specific Fey creature, which can choose to take the form of any tiny beast. It is always summoned with the maximum HP for its form's HD plus may add your character level x your spellcasting ability mod in addition HP (If you do not have a Spellcasting ability, choose the highest among you Int, Wis, and Cha). It may also add your Spellcasting Ability Mod to is AC, and can wear custom made armor (as long as it is not made from iron). If the Familiar is ever killed, it doesn't die, but must return to the Feywild, and can't be resummoned for a Week minus your Spellcasting Modifier in Days (alternatively, you can travel to the Feywild and physically retrieve it sooner, but the time doesn't reset until it has spent that time in the Feywild, and is cumulative, meaning if you retrieve it early the manual way, the time adds up each time to make it longer to wait to recast the spell to resummon it, and each time it is manually returned, it does not get the benefit of the added HP and AC from you spellcasting modifier, those require being summoned through the spell to be granted to the Familiar).
Additionally the Familiar grants the ability to cast Ritual Spells and Spells from Scrolls if those aren't granted by your class, background. race, or subclass (All Rituals still must be learned in character, as well as acquiring a ritual book to record them in. And while a normal form of Find Familiar can be found and added to the book, the found version will require components and not benefit from the other advantages granted the special one).
While the Familiar is Summoned, you can cast Identify as a Ritual without Components, Disguise Self at Will, and Misty Step once per short rest.
You gain +1 to an Ability of Your Choice from the magical exposure to the special Familiar.
