Years of study and practice make you an expert swordsman, a master of all sword types and thus proficient with greatswords, longswords, short swords, scimitars, and rapiers, as well as being able to deal more damage with each hit, plus you are stronger and faster then the vast majority of swordsmen. You have learned how to make any sword you wield becomes an extension of your body, making you a fierce foe in combat. You have been recognized as a peerless master of the blade gaining the following benefits while wielding a weapon in one hand. However, the best abilities you possess are the Perfect Defense, Perfect Strike, and Glorious Strike.

  • Proficient with all swords
  • Swords Gain the Finesse Property
  • +1d8 slashing damage
  • +2 bonus to STR and DEX
  • Perfect Defense can be used three times per short rest as a reaction to deflect any incoming magical or nonmagical melee, ranged, or spell attack
  • Perfect Strike is an action that can be used three times per short rest to attack an enemy with not only an extra 2d12 slashing damage, but also bypass all damage resistances and immunities
  • Glorious Strike is an action that can only be used once per long rest to perform a lunging attack that passes through multiple enemies, dealing an extra 4d12 piercing damage, plus it bypasses all damage resistances and immunities
  • Once each turn as no action, you may switch between an offensive or defensive stance while wielding a sword
    • Offensive stance: +1 bonus to attacks with a sword
    • Defensive stance: +1 bonus to AC
  • When you score a critical hit with a sword, the strength of the swing allows you to cleave into another creature. You may take a bonus action to make a melee weapon attack against another creature within 5' of you. 
  • Upon reaching 11th character level or later, your sword attacks become even deadlier as you gain the following benefit:

    • Additional 1d8 slashing damage when you hit with a sword.
  • Your critical range is now 19-20, 18 if you already have this from another source etc.
  • Weapon die is increased by 1. Ex: 1d6 becomes 1d8.
  • If an opponent tries to hit you with a melee attack you may use your reaction to raise your AC by your profiency bonus and if the attack misses you may make one melee attack against them with advantage.
  • Once per turn if you're wielding a Strength based weapon you may add twice your Dex modifier to the attack and damage roll of the weapon. If you're wielding a finesse weapon you may add twice your Str. modifier. If you're using some other modifier to calculate attack and damage (ex: Hex Warrior) you may add twice the higher of your Str or Dex modifier.
