A tortles shell has seen many many years of wear and tear. Oak, being as craft is it is, has crafted shields out of the tortle shell. Using this shield, gives you a little bit more wisdom from a tortle. Using a reaction, you may hide behind the tortle shield to hide from your enemies giving you half cover from an incoming attack.
