Prerequisite: The ability to cast at least one spell
You have practiced casting spells to dazzle and deceive others, learning techniques that grant you the following benefits:
- You may add your proficiency modifier to Charisma (Deception) checks if you use a spell
- You can perform the verbal components of spells quietly, requiring a perception check to identify them. The DC is the same as your spell save DC
- When you cast a spell, you may make a Charisma (Deception) check. If an enemy wishes to use a reaction in response to this spell, they must contest your Deception roll with a Wisdom (Insight) check. On a failure, the enemy treats the spell cast as if its half its true level (rounded down) to a minimum of 1
