Prerequisite: Dexterity 13 or higher

Your extensive training with the whip has reaped the following benefits:

  • As an action, you may attempt to use your whip to grapple a creature within 10ft. Perform a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check against a creature's own Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. If successful, "grappled" condition is applied to the creature with the stipulation that the creature may move feely within 10ft from the grappler. While a creature is grappled using your whip, you may not attack with your whip. As part of a movement you may choose to drop your whip. Doing so will allow you to move freely within your movement range. This will also free the creature from your grapple. Creatures may attempt to escape this grapple as they would any other and may choose to use an action to perform a Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check against your own dexterity check.

  • You have advantage on attack rolls against a creature you are grappling with your whip. You may attack prone creatures with full advantage up to 10ft away if using a whip.

  • As an action, you may attempt to use your full body weight to force a creature grappled with your whip to the ground. Move away from the creature 5ft and perform a Strength (Athletics) check against the creature's own Strength (Athletics) check. If successful, the creature is pulled 5ft towards you and knocked prone. Performing this action releases the creature from the grappled status regardless of success or failure.

  • As an action, you may attempt to bind a creature grappled with your whip. Perform a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check against a creature's own Dexterity (Acrobatics) or Strength (Athletics) check. If successful, "restrained" condition is applied to the creature. Creatures may attempt to escape this restraint as they would any other, and may choose to use an action to perform a strength or dexterity check against your own dexterity check.
