Prerequisite: Level 17 or higher
You can create one of the following effects:
- You instantly create a 30 feet line of flames out in one direction from yourself. A target must make a dexterity saving throw or take 4d6 fire damage.
- You instantly create a 20 feet cone of flames out in one direction from yourself. A target must make a constitution saving throw, on a failed save they take 2d8 fire damage, or half as much damage on a successful one.
- You instantly create a 10 feet sphere of flames out from yourself. A target must make a constitution saving throw, on a failed save they take 2d8 fire damage, or half as much damage on a successful one.
- You create a custom shape made out of flames, which isn't bigger than a 10 feet cube. Anyone in that area has to make a constitution saving throw, on a failed save they take 2d8 fire damage, or half as much damage on a successful one. The duration of this shape is 1 minute and it can be dispelled or dismissed.
- You create a small flame in your hand that stays there until dispelled or dismissed. Your unarmed strike deals an extra 2d4 fire damage and your flame lights your surroundings up in a 15 feet radius.
You can also expend a 1st level spell slot to add half the amount of dice to the damage roll or to double the range of each effect, and expending a 2nd level spell slot or higher lets you double the total dice of the damage roll. The extra amount of dice cannot be stacked, however, the extra range is stackable.
Expending a 3rd level spell slot or higher gives the flames a special effect. Roll a d6 and choose the effect with that number:
- Your flames turn blue. You double the total dice of the damage roll, but you take 2d4 fire damage yourself.
- Your flames generate an explosive wave of energy. On a failed save, a target gets pushed back 10 feet and is knocked prone.
- Your flames blind everyone who sees them. Each creature in a 10 feet radius of the flames has to make a dexterity or constitution saving throw (their choice) or be blinded for the next round.
- Your flames become extremely hot. They're able to melt through every possible material in an instant.
- Your DM may choose which effect or choose one of their own effects
- Reroll the d6. When rerolling on 6 again, you may choose which effect will happen.
