You have a neurological condition that includes certain social, behavioral, and sensory challenges, while also blessing you with a unique and powerful perspective on the world. While some people will only focus on the difficulties associated with your condition, insightful individuals will recognize it as blessing in disguise — a sort of cognitive superpower.
Socially Challenged: Disadvantage on Deception, Insight, and Persuasion checks against other humanoids. (Non-humanoids are sufficiently strange and different that you will be at no greater communication disadvantage than any neurotypical humanoid would.)
Routine Oriented: When time is a factor, Intelligence and Wisdom-based skill checks take 50% longer to complete.
Sensory Sensitivity: Whenever you take Thunder damage, roll a DC 15 Wisdom or Charisma Save (whichever is higher) to avoid being stunned.
Restricted Interests: You may not attempt skill checks for any skill that do not have at least proficiency. (Passive Perception still functions. However, without proficiency in Perception, you may not care about making deliberate, active observations about your surroundings.)
Pattern Recognition: If you are at least proficient in Perception or Investigation, add an additional proficiency bonus to those skills checks. (i.e. double on proficiency, triple on expertise)
Focused Skills: Pick three skills. If not proficient, gain proficiency. If proficient, gain expertise. If expert, gain advantage. (Note: While this advantage can cancel out the disadvantage from Socially Challenged, you will still never be able to gain advantage on those skills.)
Accurate Recollection: You can accurately recall anything you have seen or heard in the past month.

Posted Jul 28, 2023I am just a player and DM who is actually autistic. My hope was to create a realistic option for others like me to represent our special characteristics in this game that I love so much. If you have any comments, please be kind.
