Augment: New Ran Citizen

You have gained enough knowledge and experience to use Ran technology as if you were Ran. However, you may have gained the ability to use technology like a ran, but you are still recognized as not Ran.

You gain the following:

• You count as a Ran Citizen for purposes of meeting requirements for Attunements, Feats, etc.
• You are recognized as Ran capable but not born as one
• Mind Flayers and their kind see you as a high value target
• You lose the benefits of your background feature and gain Science and Technology.

Feature: Science and Technology

You are familiar with science and technology. When it comes to explaining how something works without magic but does something powerful you can understand why and how it works. Mix in how magic affects science your character can tell when science ends and magic begins.
