Prerequisite: Parent/Ancestral Race different from your current Race
Your parental lineage is so potent, that you begin to manifest certain traits of your ancestors. You gain the following benefits:
- Find the ability that increases the most in the ancestral race. Your corresponding ability score increases by 1. If multiple ability score increase at the same rate from the ancestral race, choose one of those abilities to increase your score by 1.
- You gain all the unique traits from your ancestral race, such as Darkvision for example, but you retain your original race’s age, languages, size, movement speed, and alignment. Duplicate traits, such as gaining Darkvision from both your current and ancestral races, do not stack. (Body modification may vary depending on the DM’s ruling)
Example: Tiefling with Kenku Bloodline (+1 Dex)
A Tiefling with the Emerging Bloodline feat gains the following traits from the Kenku bloodline:
- +1 Dex (Kenku's highest Stat increase is a +2 Dex)
- Expert Forgery, Kenku Training, Mimicry
