Greater Rune Keeper

Increase your Strength, Constitution, or Wisdom score by 1, to a maximum of 20.

You can use magic runes to enhance your gear. You learn 6 runes, each based on a type of giant, that you can inscribe in an object. Whenever you finish a long rest, you can touch a single object and inscribe a rune onto it. To be eligible, an object must be a weapon, a suit of armor, a shield, a piece of jewelry, or something else you can wear or hold in a hand. Your rune remains on an object until you finish a long rest, and an object can bear only one of your runes at a time, including runes you learn from any other source. 

When you carry an object with one of these runes you temporarily learn the spells associated with it. You can cast each of the associated spells without expending a spell slot. Once you cast either of these spells in this way, you can’t cast that spell in this way again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast these spells using spell slots you have of the appropriate level. The spells’ spellcasting ability is the ability increased by this feat.

Rune Spells

Hill: This rune’s magic bestows a resilience reminiscent of a hill giant. It grants access to the spells shield and warding bond.

Stone: This rune’s magic channels the judiciousness associated with stone giants. It grants access to the spells sleep and detect thoughts.

Frost: This rune’s magic evokes the might of those who survive in the wintry wilderness, such as frost giants. It grants access to the spells armor of agathys and rime's binding ice.

Fire: This rune’s magic channels the masterful craftsmanship of great smiths. It grants access to the spells identify and heat metal.

Cloud: This rune emulates the deceptive magic used by some cloud giants. It grants access to the spells silent image and blur .

Storm: Using this rune, you can harness the huge and elemental power of the storm. It grants access to the spells thunderous smite and enlarge/reduce.
