Blindness/Vision Loss (Disability) Image

The hero has a disadvantage on all perception checks that relate to vision. At the discretion of the DM, they may have an advantage on checks that pertain primarily to other senses. Characters who start the game blind may take Braille as a free language.

Alternate ruling: The hero has a penalty to the perception that increases with the impairment level, from -1 to -5. The hero is not disadvantaged on any rolls due to their blindness.

(optional: Heroes born blind may take the Alert feat at the beginning of the campaign. Heroes blinded later in life must still take it via feat purchase.)

When you take this disability, you may take an additional feat or give a +1 to two ability scores or a +2 to one ability score.
