The hero makes an Intelligence saving throw to read any written text. On a fail, it takes twice as long to read. (Optional: The hero has a migraine on a critical failure.) These should only be done when time is of the essence.
When writing a letter, the hero must make a Charisma saving throw. On a fail, the letter’s ability to perform its function is diminished (e.g., a persuasive letter can no longer convince the reader, an apology letter cannot impress the addressee, etc.)
For dyslexic characters affected by auditory processing disorder, add the ruleset for APD above.
When you take this disability, you may take an additional feat or give a +1 to two ability scores or a +2 to one ability score.
