By tapping into the inner spiritual strength inherent in all kitsune, the kitsune may take on an even more fox-like shape. By spending an action to change forms, the kitsune takes on the form of a large multi-tailed fox, or revert back to their natural shape. This form takes on the statistics of a Dire Wolf except where listed here:
- The kitsune retains their normal HP total, and damage carries between forms.
- The kitsune's base AC is 10.
- The Kitsune's fox form has a Strength score of 10, and Dexterity of 17.
- The kitsune may cast somatic components with their tails, and their tails count as a spell focus for purposes of spells that require material components.
- The kitsune may speak any language that it knows, but its strange voice gives it disadvantage on Charisma (Persuasion) checks.
- The kitsune retains their mental ability scores, with their physical scores becoming equivalent to a Dire Wolf.
When a kitsune changes into their fox form, their equipment melds into their body and cannot be accessed until they change back. This ability may be used for up to one hour, after which the kitsune must take a long rest in their natural form to recharge the ability.
