Thanks to extensive training and countless hours of practice, you have gained a skilled hand, nimble fingers, and a keen eye when employing and maintaining firearms. This grants you the following benefits:
- Increase your Dexterity score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
- You gain proficiency with firearms, allowing you to add your proficiency bonus to attacks made with firearms, and you ignore the Loading property with them. (See “Firearms” in the Dungeon Master’s Guide).
- You gain proficiency with tinker’s tools and you may use them to craft firearms, firearm ammunition, and repair damaged firearms at half the cost. ("Renaissance Items" only).
- Being within 5 feet of a hostile creature doesn’t impose a disadvantage on your ranged attack rolls made with firearms.
- When you use the Attack action and miss an attack with a firearm, you can use a bonus action to attack that same target again with that firearm.
