Through intense training, unwavering determination, or a stroke of fate, you have achieved a level of physical prowess that defies convention. With sheer might, you can harness the power of a two-handed weapon with a single hand, delivering devastating blows that leave your foes in awe.
Roleplaying Ideas:
Characters with the Unrivaled Strength feat might be seen as legends on the battlefield, capable of feats of strength that defy explanation. They might be admired for their ability to wield such imposing weapons with grace and precision, or they could be feared for the sheer devastation they can unleash. This feat could also tie into your character's backstory, reflecting intense training, a magical blessing, or a unique physical attribute that grants them this exceptional ability.
You Gain The Following Features:
- You can wield a two-handed melee weapon with one hand, without suffering any penalties to your attack rolls or damage rolls.
- When wielding a two-handed weapon in one hand, you gain a +1 bonus to your Armor Class as you utilize the weapon's heft to parry incoming attacks.
- If you are using a versatile weapon with the Versatile property (such as a longsword), the damage die increases to the weapon's two-handed damage when you wield it in one hand.
- You cannot benefit from any additional bonuses to damage granted by wielding a two-handed weapon with two hands (such as the Great Weapon Fighting style or Great Weapon Master Feat).
- While wielding a two-handed weapon in one hand, you cannot use that hand for any other actions, such as casting spells with somatic components or using items.
- On your turn, when you hit a creature with a two-handed weapon wielded in one hand, you can use your bonus action to attempt a special shove.
- The target must make a Strength saving throw against a DC of 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier. On a failed save, the target is pushed a distance of 5 feet + your Strength modifier or knocked prone.
Note:
As always, the balance and mechanics of any homebrew content should be discussed with the Dungeon Master and the players at the table to ensure it fits well within the campaign and doesn't overshadow other characters or abilities.
