Prerequisite: Requires one to have spent at least a year within the Faewild

You have spent far too long within the Faewild, and have become a Woodwose as a result, a wild man who has forgotten civilization. You gain the following benefits:

  • You now cannot die from old age. Time will stretch onward for you until it is naught but an illusion.
  • Of the Faewild. Your creature type becomes Fey instead of Humanoid. You additionally have advantage on saves against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep.
  • Nature's Boons. You now know the Druidcraft cantrip, as well as the Speak with Animals and Speak with Plants spells. You may cast them at will. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
  • Fae Trickery. You now know the Faerie Fire and Silent Image spells, and can cast them once without expending a spell slot. You regain the ability to cast them in this way when you finish a short or long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
  • Bargain of the Fair Folk. You have learned how to use the Fae's magical wordplay to your advantage. You may now invoke magical effects by simply asking people questions, but only if they answer you. This bargain can only be invoked once per day. If the chosen target cannot hear you speak, cannot understand what you are saying, or has an Intelligence lower than 4, the effect automatically fails.

“Can I have your attention?”

If in combat, the target is forced to attack you. Outside of combat, the target cannot take their attention off of you. The effect lasts for 1 hour or until dispelled.

"Can I have your name?"

If the target answers with their True Name, you now possesses the target's name. You may now become that person as if you had used the Alter Self spell to change your appearance. You may also use it within magical contracts to transfer the price onto the target.

 "Can I have a word?"

The target is unable to say one word of the user's choice.

"Can you give me a hand?"

The target loses use of their dominant hand. This effect lasts for 1 hour.

"Will you lend me your ear?"

The target is deafened for the duration. The effect lasts for 1 minute.

However, as a creature of the Faewild, you suffer from the following weaknesses:

  • Ironsbane. Iron is now poisonous to you. You cannot touch items made of iron without taking 1d6 Fire damage every turn, and must succeed a DC 14 Constitution Saving Throw or recoil in pain, dropping the item. If you succeed on this Saving Throw, you do not need to make it again for the next hour. Additionally, you are considered vulnerable to attacks made with weapons made of iron.
  • Faerie Lies. You are now incapable of directly lying. Attempting to tell a direct lie will cause you to take 1d10 Psychic damage, and the words will not leave your tongue. This does not include half-truths, lies by omission, or lies by misdirection, only blatant, boldfaced lies.
  • Laws of Hospitality. If you are invited into a home, you must abide by the laws of hospitality. Attempting to causes you to take 1d10 Psychic damage, and you must pass a DC 15 Wisdom Saving Throw to successfully do so. If you succeed on this Saving Throw, you will not have to make this Saving Throw or take this damage again for the next hour.
  • Lines in the Salt. You may not cross lines of salt. Attempting to do so causes you to take 1d10 Psychic damage, and you must pass a DC 15 Wisdom Saving Throw to successfully do so. If you succeed on this Saving Throw, you will not have to make this Saving Throw or take this damage again for the next hour.
  • Fairytale Trick. All of the effects of Bargain of the Fair Folk can be invoked on you by even normal people, if you're not careful.
