Infernal Affliction

Amidst your demise, an infernal creature interceded to prevent your death, afflicting you with their power. In return, you must suffer for their pleasure and may be forced to serve their cause.

When you rest for the night, you feel compelled to scourge yourself for 2d6 damage as part of this ongoing affliction. You may attempt to resist this compulsion at the DM's discretion if you are damaged or you expect to take damage imminently. This damage doesn't heal during the next long rest.

Infernal Affliction adds the spell Infernal Scourge to your spell list, and you always have it prepared. You can cast this spell twice at the lowest possible level without using a spell slot or needing material components, and you regain the ability when you finish a long rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for this spell. You may also cast this spell normally using any available spell slot.
