The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown. When Twilight came, the discovery of worlds beyond their own made the dream of evolution a reality. With this evolution came the Hunter's Curse. Those who succumb to the curse are said to descend into a peculiar kind of madness, consigned to dreams of their own personal torment. For those who overcome this curse, they remain forever changed. Forever doomed to Dream, but free to hunt hereafter.
You may come and go from the Dream as you wish when you twilight travel or otherwise use forms of teleportation or planar travel. Your soul is here forth claimed by the Dream and will return there unless already claimed regardless of any other effects (this does not prevent resurrection). Your soul may no longer be claimed by another and cannot be destroyed. Those souls who wander the dream may roleplay (you may claim rewards from this roleplay if not permanently killed) as their souls remain ever waiting for the hunt.
If you are permanently killed, your soul or an echo of it will forever remain within the Dream, becoming an NPC and allowing you to roleplay there.
Lastly, you are keenly aware of your own psyche. You will always know if you have a curse, madness, or an alteration to your memory though you may not necessarily know its exact nature.
