A being of extraordinary power, what was once simply a title but is now its own state of existence, an Exarch in the Post-Second Sundering era is considered to have a Divine Rank of 0. Creatures of this rank are sometimes called quasi-deities or hero deities. Creatures that have a mortal and a deity as parents also fall into this category. These entities cannot grant spells, but are immortal and usually have one or more ability scores that are far above the norm for their species. They may have some worshipers. Ordinary mortals (even most Chosen) do not have a divine rank of 0 and lack a divine rank altogether. Possessing even a Divine Rank of 0 confers the following benefits to a creature:
- You are naturally immortal and cannot die from natural causes; meaning you no longer naturally age, and do not require food, drink, sleep, or even air. Death can still come to you through being slain in combat or other harmful methods.
- You receive maximum hit points for each Hit Die (just as you would for your first character level, but for all of your levels instead)
- One ability score of your choice becomes 24, and you no longer have any ability score maximums. Other ability scores you posses below 10 now become 10.
- Your burrow, swim, and walking speed becomes 60 feet, and if capable of flight, your flying speed becomes 200 feet.
- You have advantage on saving throws from being affected by spells or spell-based abilities.
- You are immune to polymorphing, petrification, or any other effect that would alter your form without your consent. Any shape-altering powers you have work normally.
- You are immune to any effects that would lower your ability scores aside from effects originating from yourself.
- You are immune to mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, phantasms, patterns, and morale effects, which includes the Charmed and Frightened conditions).
- Any amount of fire damage that you would receive is reduced by 5 (this is applied after other effects and resistances).
