Intended for characters with vampiric lineage. On occasion, vampires develop strange quirks that are relatively unique compared to the standard vampire powers.
Once per long rest, when the vampire successfully ingests the blood of a creature, it can attempt to leech some of it's power into it's own body. The creature must make a constitution save against a DC of the vampire's (CHA modifier+proficiency bonus+8). On a failed save, the vampire gains a new ability based on one of the drained creature's abilities. This can be a bonus to an ability score, a cantrip, advantage or a bonus on ability checks, or a class feature the vampire would normally have no access to (This is based solely on the DM's discretion, but creativity is encouraged). The duration of the drained ability can be as little as 1 action but can be no more than 1 hour (Again, based on the DM's discretion). This ability does not work on constructs or undead.
