Greater Mark of Flame

The Mark of Flame gives its bearer power over fire and heat, from lighting a wick to slinging fireballs.

The humans of House Impesma bear the Mark of Flame, making them the forebears of evocation magic. The house is quite secretive, and does not possess a guild; rather, they maintain their power through their many noble connections and by offering training to the most skilled (or wealthy) mages. Through these connections, they control a monopoly over the buying and selling of fire magic scrolls or magical items, as any others are viewed as inferior imitations. The house's patriarch, The Great Mage Vernifel, possessed the first Siberys Mark of Flame. No one has possessed one since.
