You've learned to push your inner reserves of ki to their limits, allowing you to perform extraordinary feats of martial prowess. However, tapping into this wellspring of energy comes at a cost.
-
You can use a bonus action to unleash a Ki Surge. When you do so, you regain half of your expended ki points, rounded down to the nearest whole number, plus 1 extra ki point.
-
After using Ki Surge, you gain one level of exhaustion. This level of exhaustion is cumulative with other sources of exhaustion and can only be removed by completing a long rest.
-
You can use Ki Surge a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain expended uses of this feature after finishing a long rest.
This feat allows monks to regain some of their ki points in the heat of battle, granting them a temporary boost in power while risking exhaustion. It reflects their ability to dig deep and unleash their inner energy when needed most.
