You have a dash of unpredictable fey magic in your blood. Whenever you roll initiative, roll a d20. On a 1, you are affected by a Wild Magic Surge, rolling on the Wild Magic table to create a random magical effect centered on you.

For effects that target "the nearest creature" or lack a range, you are considered the nearest creature. If an effect cannot target you, reroll. After surging, you cannot be affected by Wild Magic again until you finish a short or long rest.

Once per long rest, you can also voluntarily trigger a Wild Magic Surge, rolling on the Wild Magic table. You choose this immediately after rolling initiative or after completing a short rest.
