To avenge the innocent, understanding intentions and empathizing with others gives clarity to this mission.
Using Divine Sense, you can Roll a Charisma check with your spell casting ability modifier against any humanoid's passive insight or an active insight check if the creature is aware of what you are attempting. The effect will automatically succeed on a willing creature. Upon a successful communion, future communions with the same creature will have advantage on Charisma checks.
Effects:
You can speak the language of the creature for 1 Minute.
You have ADV on Insight, Medicine and Persuasion checks for 1 minute.
The first attack against the target creature is at DADV and the first healing from the paladin adds an additional amount equal to their proficiency bonus while the target is in a 5ft radius of the paladin.
Hostile actions from the paladin such as attacks, spells and Intimidation checks against the target during communion are at DADV, ends the effect and future communion is impossible while the target creature still has memory of the failed communion.
