The hairpin technique uses the iron in the blood in order to circulate electricity through the user's body. Called hairpin for it's precise control, this technique allows you to harness this stored lightning in a number of ways; each time you take damage you one gain hairpin charge. All hairpin charges stay active in your blood stream for one minute, with the time limit resetting any time you gain more charges. When you roll initiative, your hairpin charges set to exactly 1. Charges can be expended to use the technique in one of three ways:
Precision: You can spend one charge to set your max hp to 300 for a week.
Synchronosity: Whenever you deal lightning damage to a creature, you may choose any amount of creatures within 120ft of that one that share a creature type with it, expending one hairpin charge for each; they also take that damage, using their own resistance or immunity.
Cardioversion: If you would be killed while you have at least 1 hairpin charge, you don't die immediately, even delaying abilities that would normally kill you, such as disintegrate or soul destruction. Instead, at the start of your next turn, roll 1d100. On a 50 or higher, the lightning in your body helps keep your form together, shocking your heart back into functioning, and reviving you to life with 1 hit point. Otherwise, you die as normal. After this technique is used, you gain one level of exhaustion, and you lose all charges of hairpin. All other abilities do not gain or lose charges, as if you had survived.
