You have honed your archery skills to a level where your arrows gain deadly momentum over long distances. You excel at precision shooting, making each shot count even when your target is at the edge of your vision.
Sharpshooter's Eye: Your keen eye allows you to make ranged attacks with exceptional accuracy. You gain the following benefits:
- When you make a ranged weapon attack with a longbow or shortbow, you can ignore half cover and three-quarters cover.
- Your ranged weapon attacks ignore disadvantage due to long range.
Distant Impact: Your arrows pack an extra punch as they travel great distances. Whenever you make a ranged weapon attack with a longbow or shortbow, calculate the damage as follows:
For every 10 feet the arrow travels before hitting the target, roll an additional damage die. This extra damage applies to both the weapon's damage die and any additional damage from modifiers, such as Dexterity.
Example: If you shoot an arrow at a target 50 feet away, roll an additional 5 damage dice in addition to the normal damage dice for the attack.
Ranger's Precision: You gain a +1 bonus to your Dexterity score, to a maximum of 20.
Special Note: The additional damage from Distant Impact is cumulative, so if your shot travels 30 feet, you roll three extra damage dice. This feat emphasizes the character's ability to make precise shots at long distances, rewarding players who carefully calculate their shots and take advantage of elevated positions.
