Bathed In Wild Magic Image

You are bathed in magic that is wild and maybe a little unstable as you manipulate the tides of chance and chaos...

  • Learn 3 basic spells from the Sorcerer's spell list.
  • Every time you cast a 1st level spell or higher the DM can have you roll a d12 "Surge Check". If you roll a 1 then you roll on the Wild Magic Surge table to determine the produced effect. If the effect is a spell you CANNOT apply Metamagic to it and it does not require concentration (even if the spell calls for it), instead the effect lasts for the entirety of the spell's duration. Upon rolling a 1 on your “Surge Check” your Wild Magic becomes more unstable eroding to a d10. Triggering another Wild Magic Surge the stability will erode to a d8, d6, then finally a d4. You must finish a long rest to fully regain stability, while a short rest will only increase your stability to the next highest die.
  •  Learn 1 Metamagic option from the Sorcerer class and gain Sorcery Points equal to 2 + your spellcasting modifier. When using Metamagic options on any spell you increase the DC (difficulty class) of your “Surge Check” by the amount of sorcery points you've spent for the latest casting of a 1st level spell or higher. For example, if you use a Metamagic option on a cantrip, your next "Surge Check" will have a higher DC (difficulty class) equal to the amount of Sorcery Points you have spent up until that point. Sorcery Points replenish after a long rest.
  • Take advantage on one attack roll, ability check, OR saving throw. Once you do so you must finish a long rest before using the feature again. Anytime before you regain the use of this feature, the DM can immediately have you roll on the Wild Magic Surge Table when casting a 1st level spell or higher. You then regain the use of this feature.
