The blessing of Elistrae, bestowed upon those followers who she feels have particularly upheld her ideals of freedom and artistic expression, grants the following traits:
Elistrae’s Teachings: Choose either performance or survival. You gain proficiency in the chosen skill, or expertise if already proficient.
Ranged Weapon Restriction: Elistrae prefers the use of melee weapons over ranged ones whenever possible. This is due to an incident when her mother Lolth cursed one of her arrows to target her father, Correlon Latherian, while they were fighting demons. However, she does grant her followers a once per long rest casting of magic missile, as this spell never misses. Her followers also gain proficiency in one melee weapon of their choice.
Blade Dance: Once per long rest, you gain a bonus to AC and Constitution saving throws to maintain concentration equal to your Charisma modifier, advantage on Acrobatics checks, and a walking speed increase of 10 feet. This effect lasts for 1 minute, until you don medium or heavy armor, use a shield, make a weapon attack using both hands, or mis with a ranged attack. At 11th level, if you have remained true to Elistrae’s ideals, you gain the ability to add your Charisma modifier to damage rolls with melee weapons while using this feature.
In order to maintain the goddess’s favour, followers of Elistrae are encouraged to perform certain rituals honoring the goddess. These depend on the follower’s situation, but would generally entail performing acts of charity, artistic expression (usually in the form of dance and song), slaying creatures of evil, or freeing those who have been inslaved.
