Boons and Blessings
The Three Sisters of the Dreamscape are not goddesses that function off if worship. Instead they are similar to the powerful beings in the Fey realm. The Sisters grow in power as beings enter their realms as they sleep.
Piety System
The Sister of Dreams has chosen Bill the Bard as her champion.
His role is to be an Awakened One, an Ambassador of the Dream Realm and Champion of Bliss.
The Realm of Dreams spreads into the material plane as well. Hope is a beautiful dream of a potential future. And having a vision of a brighter future is an awakened dream that’s spreads the kingdom of bliss.
The Champion of Bliss has three main roles:
- To actively spread hope and visions of a brighter future. This guides beings to have beautiful thoughts and enter the Kingdom of Bliss when they dream.
- Defend the Kingdom of Bliss from any threats, within the Dreamscape and beyond.
- Act as the Sister of Dreams messenger and hand in realms beyond her kingdom.
As the Chosen of the Sister of Dreams you gain:
- Resistance to Psychic damage.
- Advantage against spells that affect the mind.
Piety
You may gain or lose piety based on your actions. When you gain piety then your power from the Sister or Dreams will grow, but if you evoke her disdain then you will lose her favor. The primary way of gaining favor is to inspire hope and positive visions in others. This can be through song, poetry, or by any means that can move large groups of people. The larger the group and the more the people are moved, the more favor and piety you will gain. This is measured from full moon to full moon, roughly month to month in game time.
Essentially Bill must be seeking crowds and performing to stay in her favor. If he ever misses an opportunity to inspire, then favor will wane.
Special note: The Sister of Dreams detests a disheveled champion. Bill must be in the most clean fashionable clothes at all times or incur her disfavor.
