Pre-requisite: a racial trait allowing you to cast a spell once per long rest Your spellcasting ability improves drastically. You gain the following benefits: The ability score used as the modifier for racial spell increases by 1. If you have multiple spellcasting modifiers somehow, choose one of those ability score to increase. Any racial ability that allows you to cast a spell once per long rest now allows you to cast said spell once per short rest. This does not apply to feats obtained through your race, such as Magic Initiate on an human. If you couldn't already, you can cast that spell using your spell slots if you lack any uses of the feature.
