Your mind has become expanded through magical or otherworldly means. You may have incorrectly cast a spell or mixed a potion which led to this change, or possibly you have been gifted by a knowledge god, you may have even been one of the select few outsiders to be welcomed into the midst of a mindflayer transcendence ritual.
This feature could have further implications depending upon the means through which it was acquired; all of which should be decided by the DM or worked out between the player and the DM.
