Some au-strain have adapted to producing at night when temperatures are cooler to preserve water. The superfamilies with the highest likelihood to have members with this feat are cacutau-strain, asoparau-strain, and polau-strain, but any au-strain may have it.

- You may use your Photosynthetic Recovery ability when not in sunlight. You must have had 1 hour of sunlight within the past 3 days to use this feature. This time period increases to 6 days if you have the Photoefficiemt feature.
- When you take a long rest while exhausted you remove an additional level of exhaustion.
