Dream Weaver

Through the many years spent wandering the twilight honing your blade and mind alike using every encounter as a stepping stone to ascend to greater heights; eventually reaching the peak of swordplay achieving peerless skill. The greatest of your achievements laying dormant whin you as you have subconsciously shaped your swordsmanship into a style that lacks something to be considered completely perfect; Although you agonized for years trying to find the missing piece to the puzzle mastering all weapons you came across in the hope to do so. You were unable to find it until long forgotten memories of your past came to you guiding you towards the small spark needed to ignite and awaken your dormant innate potential; the ability to weave your own dreams and those of creatures around you to your advantage creating a new and unique sword style that no one could ever hope to replicate. You obtain dreamsight allowing you to see the dreams of any creature sleeping or meditating around you.

Your now complete sword style is compromised of two stances that seamlessly flow into each other achieving a perfect balance; Dawnfly and Eventide both stances being a polar opposite to the other only brought together into a single style due to your unmatched skill with a blade. Dawnfly makes use of your ability to peer into and influence the dreams of those around you; using their own happiest dreams against them, disorienting and slowing their thoughts and reactions. Eventide being the complete opposite; manifesting your enemies most dreadful nightmares allowing you to wield them against your enemies, shaking their will and fighting spirit. Whenever you manipulate the dreams of those around you a small fragment splits from the dream itself becoming a ethereal butterfly that contains the essence of the dream it belongs to, these butterflies follow your lead and do as you command them to until they are used against your enemies, dismissed or succumb to their limited lifespan.

At the start of combat you may choose one of the stances to start your first turn in; after which you can only swap between your stances by either using your bonus action or as a free action at the end of your turn if you used the attack action and didn't miss any attacks. When using a bonus action to switch stances you gain the effects of fighting spirit at the start of your next turn.

Dawnfly: This stance uses smooth and methodical movements to deliver every strike in a graceful manner; a simple yet effective way to guarantee a direct hit on your enemy with a wave of ephemeral dream energy recreating their happiest and most joyful dreams to slow and divert their thoughts. While in Dawnfly stance the number of attacks you can do as part of your attack action are halved (rounded down, minimum of one). For each attack you hit, you gain one butterfly charge, or two on a critical hit, and once per attack action may expend one butterfly charge to put them under the effects of the slow spell as you manifest a small golden cloud of ephemeral dream energy around your target. (Creature's may use a charge of legendary resistance to resist the effect)

Eventide: Eventide being a polar opposite of Dawnfly uses quick attacks to overwhelm the defences of your enemy; the speed of which increases with each successful hit on your target. When you take the attack action in this stance, you may make an additional amount of attacks equal to the amount of butterfly charges you have, up to a maximum equal to your wisdom modifier. At the start of your turn and while in this stance, you may expend any amount of butterfly charges to deal an additional amount of dice equal to twice the amount spent as the nightmares of your enemies become an unsettling black mist of dream energy shrouding your blade and enhancing its attacks. If all attacks you make hit, you gain one butterfly charge at the end of your turn.

At the end of combat your butterfly charges reset, as the energies of the dreams you siphoned fade away.
