The following features give more flavor and deal with some balancing issues. In particular, the Rite of Restoration removes the reliance on short rests from the class, while still keeping the pact magic feature of the warlock. I also think that the Warlock is heavily balanced around multiclassing into this class, and these give the Warlock more opportunity to shine as a stand-alone class.
I also see problems with the Eldrich Blast cantrip. Given the number of invocations that apply to just the one cantrip, it makes more sense to just include the cantrip as an integrated spell that is always prepared (think Sorcerous Burst from UA).
Features:
Eldrich Blast(1st Level):
You automatically learn the Eldrich Blast Cantrip, and it doesn't count against the number of cantrips you know.
Rite of Restoration(1st Level):
At the first level, you gain the ability to expedite a fraction of your contract with your chosen Patron. Five times every short rest, you can perform a ten-minute ritual where you complete a task to complete your Rite of Renewal. You have the whole ten-minute window to complete the Rite, each attempt to complete the rite using five out of the ten minutes allotted to you. Upon completion, all spent pact slots are restored along with any abilities that would recharge on a short rest. Should you attempt a Rite and fail to complete it, nothing happens. Select from the table below what Rite must be accomplished before the ten minutes concludes.
- Sacrifice any creature with at least one hp. (dm determines appropriate course of roles)
Sacrifice some drops of blood(hp) = your pb. (this doesn't have to be your own)
Reenact a performance of your Patron's choosing, succeeding with a performance check of 8 or higher.
Recite a chant of any type, succeeding with an Arcana or History check of 8 or higher.
Pay an amount of gold or an item with a gold worth = your pb. (again, doesn't have to be yours).
Follow a recipe of some sort to create an original consumable, succeeding with a nature/medicine check of 8 or higher. Consuming a food item or following a recipe that has any effect other than the completion of this rite has no effect. Examples of excluded items are: Rations, Potions, Poisons, Aunty Ethils Cookies of Polymorph, etc.
The Bigger Bargen(4th Level):
Starting at fourth level, your Patron has started to favor you and has decided to start holding up their end of the pact through Bargens. You can expend one Bargen during a short rest to immediately regain any abilities you may have that recharge on a long rest. This feature only applies to Warlock Class abilities and all ASI’s. You gain no other bonuses of a long rest when you use this feature. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your pb per long rest.
