But behind the glory lies a dark truth: with each act of magic, you diminish yourself a little more, pouring your lifeblood into the casting.

You gain the following benefits:

• When you cast a spell using this feat, you must spend hit points equal to the spell’s level multiplied by 5. For example:

  • A 1st-level spell costs 5 hit points.
  • A 2nd-level spell costs 10 hit points.
  • A 3rd-level spell costs 15 hit points, and so on.

• As a bonus action, you can choose to amplify your spellcasting by spending an additional 5 hit points to gain advantage on your next spell attack roll or saving throw DC. This bonus lasts until the end of your turn.
