Blacksmith Apprentice Image
Prerequisite: Requires a Strength score of 13 or higher

You have become a Blacksmith Apprentice; you have begun an apprenticeship under a skilled blacksmith and learned the craft of working with various metals to create simple items or common weapons and armor. You gain the following effects:

  • You gain proficiency with Smith's Tools.
  • Apprentice Craftsman allows you to repair gear. Over the course of two hours, you can repair simple damage on weapons or armor that are causing penalties on their attack rolls or AC. You can repair a number of weapons or sets of armor equal to your Proficiency Bonus, using metal scraps or ingots. If the gear is severely damaged, the GM may decide that more materials are needed. Completely broken weapons or sets of armor are beyond repair. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short rest.
  • Using a smelting facility, you learn to melt metal scraps and use raw ores to create ingots. You can create simple items with metal scraps or common weapons and armor with ingots. Uncommon and rare items need rare materials and are beyond your expertise.
