Prerequisite: Charisma

Prerequisite: Character level 5 or higher

You have been exposed to the taint of darkness, either through cursed artifacts, malevolent beings, or forbidden knowledge. This exposure has granted you a twisted understanding of corruption, allowing you to wield its power to your advantage.

- **Corrupting Touch:** You can use your action to make a melee spell attack against a creature within reach. On a hit, the target takes 1d6 necrotic damage, and it must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or become poisoned until the end of its next turn. The necrotic damage increases to 2d6 at 11th level and 3d6 at 17th level.

- **Dark Resilience:** Your exposure to corruption has made you resilient to its effects. You have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you have resistance to necrotic damage.

- **Tainted Empowerment:** Once per long rest, when you roll damage for a spell or ability that deals necrotic damage, you can reroll any of the damage dice and use either total.

- **Aura of Corruption:** As an action, you can exude an aura of malevolence that extends 10 feet from you. Any hostile creature that starts its turn in this aura takes 1d6 necrotic damage. The aura lasts for 1 minute or until you dismiss it (no action required). Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

*Special Note:* The Dungeon Master might include role-playing challenges or consequences related to your character's corruption, such as attracting the attention of malevolent entities, facing prejudice from NPCs, or experiencing internal struggles with morality.
