Bulwark Deflector

You have used a shield in combat against numerous foes. As a result of such varied shield combat, you have learnt to adapt your shield style to assist you to deflect especially dangerous and even magical attacks. As long as you have a shield equipped, you can as a reaction select one of the following options;

• When hit by a spell attack, you interpose your shield gaining resistance to that damage type against that attack
• When hit by a non magical ranged attack, you interpose your shield absorbing the bludgeoning, piercing or slashing damage (your choice) of one single incoming ranged attack
• When hit by a non magical melee attack that was a critical hit, you interpose your shield against that strike to instead cause it to deal normal damage

You can use this ability to defend yourself, or a creature within 5 ft of you.

You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus times per long rest.
